Empire State University understands that many students face non-academic challenges during their time at the University. The Virtual Food Pantry at Empire State University provides a once per term, per household, immediate food supply to students during times of financial crisis, and works to establish connections with local food pantries for students to receive ongoing assistance.

Application Instructions:

To qualify for food assistance, you must complete the following form, live in the United States, and be a current term enrolled Empire student. You will be prompted to upload documentation demonstrating recent life changes impacting your financial circumstances, which can assist your application but is optional to include. If you are approved for a one-time, immediate food supply, a staff member will reach out to you to provide more information about how to put together your order.

Additional Resources:

All students are encouraged to explore Empire State University's Single Stop Resource Finder tool. When you visit that site, you will be able to enter your zip code and locate and connect with services in your immediate community. Single Stop also offers a screening tool to determine if you are eligible for local, state, and federal resources (ex: SNAP). To use the screening too, visit the Single Stop homepage and click the green “Let’s Get Started!” button.

You can also find a Food Bank near you for additional food assistance.
